Jade's Dance Story
I always loved watching Strictly Come Dancing and always had an interest in dancing. Then one day a leaflet came throug the door about Ballroom and Latin American dance that were starting beside my Nanny's house. So my Nanny rang up and booked me a place in Laura's dance school. I couldn't wait, I always wanted to do the dances that they do on tele. I really enjoyed it.I have had two partners. When I danced with Jessica in the first class competition in December 2005 we got first place in the Samba, Cha Cha Cha and Waltz. We were delighted. Now I dance with my partner Orlaith. We have been dancing together since January 2006. We have done many competitions. In our first competition together we got placed first in the Waltz and Cha Cha Cha.I love going away for the weekend competitions because we are all together as a dance school and we have great fun together.I love learning new dances and my favourite dance is the Samba. At the moment we are learning a new Samba routine.Going to Laura's dance classes are the best thing I have ever done and Laura is the best teacher anyone could have.Jade (aged 13)
Stephen's Dance Story
Hello my name is Stephen. I got involved in dancing by going with my Mam to bring my sister to her dance classes and by watching Strictly Come Dancing. I always went in to see her dancing and Laura kept on asking me to join the class. I thought about it for a while but since I joined I have never looked back. My first competition was solo in Walkinstown and I absolutely loved it. Shortly after I got my partner Sara.We are in the Junior section were Sara and I are doing very well. We have won lots of trophies and medals. We are learning new dance routines at the moment like the Rumba, Paso Doble, Viennese Waltz and Foxtrot.I really hope some more boys join the class soon, there are plenty of girls that would love a boy partner. Stephen (aged 12)
